Differences

Cost: Aluminum fencing is generally less expensive than wrought iron due to easier production and lighter weight.

Strength and Ornamentation: Wrought iron is known for its strength and ornate designs, while aluminum fences are lighter and more modern in appearance.

Rust Resistance: Aluminum fences are rust-resistant, unlike wrought iron which can rust over time.

Commonalities

Security: Both iron and aluminum fencing provide security for properties. While the degree of security may vary depending on the specific design and installation, both materials offer barriers that can deter trespassers and unwanted visitors.

Customization: Both iron and aluminum fencing can be customized to fit the specific needs and preferences of property owners. They come in various styles, designs, and heights, allowing for flexibility in adapting to different architectural styles and landscapes.

Longevity: When properly maintained, both iron and aluminum fencing can be long-lasting. While iron fencing may require periodic maintenance such as repainting to prevent rust, aluminum fencing is naturally resistant to rust and corrosion, reducing the need for frequent maintenance.

Durability

Iron fencing is known for its durability and longevity. It can withstand harsh weather conditions, including rain, snow, and wind, without deteriorating quickly. Iron fencing is resistant to rust and corrosion, especially when properly maintained.

Security

Iron fencing provides excellent security for properties. Its strength and height deter intruders and trespassers from accessing the premises easily. Additionally, iron fencing can be customized with features like spikes or pointed finials to enhance security further.

Appeal

Iron fencing adds aesthetic value to properties with its classic and timeless appearance. It enhances the curb appeal of homes, commercial properties, parks, and gardens. Iron fencing comes in various styles, designs, and finishes, allowing property owners to choose the option that complements their architecture and landscaping.

Low Maintenance

Compared to other fencing materials like wood, iron fencing requires minimal maintenance. Routine cleaning and occasional inspections are usually sufficient to keep iron fencing in good condition. Periodic repainting or resealing may be necessary to prevent rust and maintain its appearance, but overall maintenance efforts are relatively low.

Versatility

Iron fencing is versatile and can be used in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties. It can be installed as perimeter fencing, around pools, as garden borders, or for decorative purposes. Iron fencing can be customized to fit specific dimensions and design preferences, making it suitable for different applications.

Benefits of Iron Fencing

Iron Is Tough

Iron fence services offer an extensive solution for property owners looking to enhance their security, look, and functionality through the installation, maintenance, repair, and customization of iron fences. By engaging professional services, property owners can ensure that their iron fences are not only visually appealing but also durable and long-lasting.

Benefits of Aluminum Fence

Eco-Friendly Boundaries

Aluminum fences offer numerous benefits, including durability, low maintenance, and an eco-friendly boundary solution. As a highly recyclable material, aluminum reduces the environmental impact associated with traditional fencing materials like wood or PVC. Its longevity also means fewer resources are needed for replacements, making it a sustainable choice for both residential and commercial properties seeking a durable and environmentally conscious fencing solution.

Durable Fence

Aluminum fences are highly resistant to corrosion, rust, and deterioration caused by weather conditions, ensuring a long-lasting boundary without the need for frequent replacements or repairs.

Low Maintenance Fence

Unlike iron or wood, aluminum fencing does not require regular painting or staining. It often comes with a powder-coated finish that maintains its appearance and requires only occasional cleaning with soap and water.

Aesthetic Appeal

Aluminum fencing offers a variety of styles, colors, and finishes, allowing homeowners to customize their property’s look. It can mimic the appearance of traditional wrought iron fences but with a modern twist, enhancing curb appeal and property value.

Security

Aluminum fences are strong and can be installed with pickets close enough to prevent unwanted entry, making them an excellent choice for securing a property. They can also be designed with spikes on top to deter climbing.

Eco-Friendly

Many aluminum fences are made from recycled materials and are 100% recyclable, making them an environmentally friendly choice for those looking to minimize their ecological footprint without compromising on strength or style.

Installation Process

Beginning To End

When installing iron or aluminum fences we first start with the preparation. Our professionals determine the fence layout by marking the locations of corner, end, and gate posts with wooden stakes and string. Then we check for underground utilities and property lines to avoid any damage or disputes. Next we obtain any necessary permits as per local regulation. The installation process then begins. First we use post hole diggers to dig holes at marked locations, ensuring they are deep enough based on your area’s frost line. After that we place the posts in the holes, ensuring they are plumb and aligned with the string line. At that point we fill the holes with concrete, leaving them about 2 inches short of the top to add packed dirt for stability. Then we attach fence panels to the posts by sliding notched rails into the post holes and securing them with self-tapping screws. Finally we install gates by attaching hinges to gate frames, aligning them with surrounding panels, and securing them in place.

Why It's Crucial

When building a fence, it is crucial to fill the holes with concrete and add packed dirt  because this method ensures strong support for the fence posts. The concrete provides a solid foundation, while the packed dirt above it adds further stability. This combination helps prevent leaning or shifting of the fence over time.
